About IASS
IASS (International Association of Scandinavian Studies) is an international organization for research in Nordic literature, Nordic culture and the Nordic languages.
The organization was established in Cambridge 1956, and every other year an international conference is arranged, touring amongst the Nordic and non-Nordic countries. Both members as well as general audiene are welcomed to join the conference.
The general aim and purpose of IASS shall be the promotion, development and encouragement through international co-operation of Scandinavian Studies, especially the scholarly study of the literatures of the Scandinavian countries.
