Scholarship: Research in the Swedish Language, Literature, and Area Studies for the Year 2025
The Swedish Women’s Educational Association International, Inc. (SWEA) is pleased to announce the annual scholarship for research in the Swedish language, literature, and area studies for the year 2025. The deadline for submission of applications and supporting letters is January 15th, 2025.
The SWEA International Scholarship, in the amount of USD 15 000, will be awarded to a well-merited Doctoral Candidate in the Swedish Language, Literature and/or Area Studies. It is addressed specifically to candidates who are well into the process of writing their dissertations. The candidate must be residing permanently outside Sweden and be studying at a non-Swedish university.
Deadline for submission of applications and supporting letters is January 15th, 2025.
In March 2025, the jury will present a suitable candidate for the literature scholarship and the recipient is notified of the award. The formal decision will be made at SWEA International ́s annual meeting on April 5, 2025 after which all applicants will be notified of the recipient of the scholarship.
The scholarship will be awarded at “Sverigemiddagen” in Stockholm, Sweden in August 2025.
